Delaware Says Farewell to Cpl Matthew “Ty” Snook

A celebration of Life was held Monday for Delaware State Police Cpl Matthew “Ty” Snook, who died after a line-of-duty shooting on December 23rd at the DMV in Wilmington. Mourners paid their respects during a three-hour visitation at the Bob Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware Monday morning.

That was followed by a pass and review that included law enforcement, first responders and others from Delaware, neighboring states as well as hundreds of police and other first responders from around the country.

Delaware Governor Matt Meyer, Secretary of Safety and Homeland Security – Josh Bushweller, State Police Superintendent – Colonel William Crotty, as well as friends and family members spoke of Ty – the man, Ty – the officer and Ty – the big brother as well as his service and sacrifice.

The Celebration of Life ended with a 21-gun salute and the End of Watch.
