DSP Arrest Former Police Officer for Rape

A former Delaware and Maryland police officer has been arrested by Delaware State Police following a sexual assault investigation. Police say 33 year old William Paskey of Harrington met the female victim on a dating app in 2022 and invited her to his residence. The victim told police that Paskey became aggressive and engaged in non-consensual sexual acts ā refusing her requests to stop. Paskey was employed as a law enforcement officer at the time, but was not on duty. The investigation into this incident began in May of 2025 and Paskey was arrested earlier this week and charged with 2nd degree rape. He is currently free after posting a $20,000 secured bond.
Paskey is a former Delaware police officer who, between 2014 and 2021, was employed by various departments, including the Dagsboro, Ellendale, and Blades Police Departments. Most recently, Paskey was employed as a police officer for the Town of Ridgely Police Department in Maryland.
