DSP Investigating Armed Robbery at Lewes Wawa


An armed robbery in the parking lot of the Lewes Wawa is being investigated by Delaware State Police.  Police say just after midnight Friday morning a 17 year old was pumping gas when he was approached by three black men who asked for the victim’s wallet.  The victim refused and was struck by one man while another showed a knife.  The third suspect approached a 16 year old female passenger – got into the rear seat and grabbed the girl.  The male victim turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and the three suspects drove off in a dark colored SUV.  Police say the suspects are between the ages of 15 and 20 – all wore dark colored hoodies.  If you have information – contact Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333.
