Federalsburg Man Charged after Stabbing

A Federalsburg man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing early Monday morning in Federalsburg. Maryland State Police were called for a report of trespassing just after 12:30am, but learned it was a stabbing and found the victim inside a Liberty Road residence. Police say the two men live at the same residence – and police found 26 year old Leo Cook of Federalsburg in the back yard. The 36 year old male victim was flown the Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
Cook is charged with 2nd degree attempted murder, 1st degree assault (2 counts), 2nd degree assault and reckless endangerment. Cook is being held at the Caroline County Detention Center.
The investigation is continuing.
