UPDATED: Three Candidates File for Bethel Council Election on Feb 21st
UPDATED – 01/16/26 – There are three candidates running to fill 2 seats on the Bethel Town Council. Incumbent Mark Shaver is challenged by Larry Davis and David Stuckey. Each seat is for a three-year term. Councilwoman Kathy Layfield did not run for re-election. The Bethel Town Council election is set for Saturday, February 21st from 1 to 4pm at the Bethel Community Hall.
Absentee ballot applications may be picked up at the Bethel Store, Forms Box at the town office, or requested from the Town Clerk on Wednesdays. 9am~Noon and 1pm~3pm, or downloaded from the town websiteÂ
( https://bethel.delaware.gov/ ).
Deadline to request a mailed absentee ballot is 3:00pm Wednesday, February 4th, 2026.
Applications submitted beyond that must be presented directly to a Board of Election member prior to 12:00 noon on Thursday February 12th, 2026.
Non-Mailed Ballots must be picked up in person before 3:00pm on Wednesday February 18th, 2026.
