Governor Moore Announces $2.6 Million in Additional Industry-Led EARN Workforce Development Grants

Governor Wes Moore has announced an additional $2.6 million investment in Maryland鈥檚 workforce through the EARN Maryland program, aimed at helping businesses train workers and meet growing industry demand. The funding will support more than 100 employers and connect over 750 Marylanders with job training, industry credentials, and support services. Governor Moore said the investment reflects the state鈥檚 broader economic strategy, emphasizing that a strong, competitive economy depends on preparing workers for today鈥檚 and tomorrow鈥檚 in-demand jobs. He noted that EARN Maryland brings together government, businesses, and workers to strengthen long-term economic growth. The funding will also advance efforts to improve economic mobility, with many projects focused on communities facing higher poverty levels and on helping individuals receiving SNAP benefits gain access to training and employment opportunities.
