IRVFC Battle Out of Control Burn on Waters Edge Trail

Firefighters from Indian River were called Saturday afternoon just before 2 for an outside fire on Waters Edge Trail, but when crews arrived on the scene they found the fire had blazed out of control and spread to a nearby garage. Fire crews learned that a controlled burn or burn barrel got out of control and spread. Crews from Millsboro and Lewes assisted. Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour.
