UPDATED: 4 Candidates Running for Mayor in Rehoboth Beach August 8th Municipal Election
UPDATED – 06/01/26 – The filing deadline for the Rehoboth Beach municipal election has passed – voters will be electing a Mayor and 2 City Commissioners on Saturday, August 8th. Each seat is a 3 year term.
There are 4 candidates running for Mayor – William Raak and current commissioners Suzanne Goode, Susan Stewart and Craig Thier. Current Mayor Stan Mills announced some time ago that he would not be running for re-election.
There are two seats on the City Commission up for re-election. Incumbents Patrick Gossett and Mark Saunders are challenged by Jeffrey Goode, the husband of Commissioner Suzanne Goode.
Voters who are not registered to vote in the municipal election – have until July 9th to register at City Hall.

ORIGINAL STORY – 05/31/26 – Monday is the last day that you can file as a candidate in the Rehoboth Beach municipal election. Candidates must file their paperwork in the City Manager’s office by 4:30 Monday afternoon. Voters will be electing a Mayor and 2 City Commissioners on Saturday, August 8th.
If you need to register to vote in the election – you have until July 9th to register at City Hall.
