Salisbury Man Convicted of Murder in 2023 Pizza City Shooting

A Salisbury man has been convicted of 1^st degree murder and other offenses following a five-day jury trial in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County. The jury found 18 year old Mykel Elliott guilty of 1^st degree murder, attempted 1^st degree murder, 2 counts of conspiracy-1^st degree murder, gang participation and other offenses.

Court records show that Elliott and others sought out the victims at the Pizza City early in the morning of April 16, 2023 where one victim was shot and killed and another shot several times and survived. One other defendant has pleaded guilty to 1^st degree murder and another has been convicted of being an accessory after the fact.

Elliott will remain in custody pending sentencing.
