Saturday Night Crash on Route 9 Leaves Georgetown Man Dead

A 27 year old Georgetown man is dead after a crash on Route 9 Saturday evening just after 5 o’clock. Delaware State Police say the driver was westbound on Route 9 in the area of the Deerwood Development when his SUV went off the side of the road and began to rotate – striking a large tree on the driver’s side. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is continuing.
