UPDATED: 2 Arrested in Death of Smyrna Man Early Sunday Morning

UPDATED – 5/15  12PM – Dover Police have arrested two men in the shooting death of 20 year old Jameir Vann-Robinson of Smyrna early Sunday morning on Mitscher Road in Dover.  Police learned the victim and a friend left a party and got into an argument with the suspects.  The suspects fired several shots – striking Vann-Robinson in the back.  Police had a description of the car the suspects left in – and they were arrested Monday during a traffic stop.  Police have charged 18 year old Eugene Riley of Milford and 19 year old Ahmir Bailey of Lincoln with 1st degree murder and other offenses. They are also on store surveillance from Dick’s Sporting Goods taking several boxes of ammunition – and a search of Bailey’s home turned up weapons – including a handgun reported stolen on May 10.

Dover Police are investigating a shooting on Mitscher Road early Sunday morning.  Police were called just after 2am, but found only shell casings – no victims or witnesses.  Police learned that a victim with a gunshot wound to the back did arrive at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital.  Police say 20 year old Jameir Vann-Robinson of Smyrna was pronounced dead at the hospital.
