Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 04/29/26
April 29, 2026/
Tuesday was a decent day with a reasonable wind and a little sunshine.
My friend Dan Nuemann caught and released two stripers at 3Rs Road early in the morning. He was fishing with sand fleas and the fish measured 35 and 37 inches.
Dan at Dan鈥檚 Tackle reported that a young customer fished Broadkill Beach with finger mullet and ended up catching and releasing a 47-inch striped bass. That鈥檚 an inch larger than the largest striped I have ever caught.
Steve at Smith Bait in Leipsic said stripers are still being caught from the Woodland Beach Pier on bloodworms and cut bunker. Very few fall in the 28 to 31-inch slot. White perch have been caught from the local spillways on shad darts.
