Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/10/25
Anglers are seeing solid action along the Delaware coast this week. Inshore, the surf bite has picked up with kingfish, spot, and small blues hitting bloodworms and Fishbites around Cape Henlopen and Broadkill Beach. Early morning and dusk have been best.
Flounder fishing is strong in the back bays鈥攑articularly around Indian River Inlet and Rehoboth Bay鈥攚ith Gulp and minnows doing the trick on moving tides. A few keeper fluke up to 21 inches have been reported.
Nearshore wrecks are producing black sea bass and a few early triggers, with squid strips and clam being top baits. Offshore, tuna action is still scattered, but boats running to the canyons are picking up yellowfin and the occasional mahi.
Finally, Indian River Inlet at night is giving up slot stripers on bucktails and soft plastics鈥攚atch the tide swings and bring the heavy tackle.
