Friday saw beautiful weather with light winds and calm seas.

DNREC released a new state record golden tilefish. Logan Smith is the angler who went out on Blue Betty II with Captain Austin Decker and fished in 650 feet of water at the Poormans Canyon with a whole squid to catch the 56-pound, 3.2-ounce golden tilefish to set the new Delaware state record.

Mark Webb fished from the beach at different locations from Rehoboth to Dewey and caught kings at each stop. He set baits at different distances from shore and when one area proved productive, he concentrated his efforts there. He used Fishbites bloodworm and sand flea baits.

The Captain鈥檚 Lady out of Bowers Beach had blues and croaker action all day.
