Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/08/26



Friday maintained the hot and humid August weather.

Old Inlet told us the surf is loaded with jellyfish. Be prepared if you plan to go up on the beach as these are the large ocean jellyfish and they will cause you quite a bit of pain.

Dan at Dan’s Tackle said larger croaker were caught from the Roosevelt Inlet Jetty on bloodworms or Fishbites. The Broadkill Beach gave up spot and croaker and the Broadkill River saw a few keeper flounder on live minnows or on jigs with Gulp! Crawfish.

Lewes Harbour Marina said sheepshead and triggerfish were caught at the Outer Wall Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said the Captain Bob brought in sea bass and flounder from ocean structure. The Captain Ike had 2 bluefin tuna. The Michael D had Spanish mackerel and blues from Fenwick Shoal.
