Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 10/11/25

Friday was the beginning of the hard nor鈥檈aster that is going to wipe out the weekend into early next week. Winds are expected to gust to 60 knots and seas inshore are going to build to 18 feet. In the canyons, the seas will be 27 feet.

No boats sailed from Lewes or Indian River and I don鈥檛 expect any to leave until sometime late next week.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said one angler brought in three sheepshead and one tog that he caught on sand fleas and green crab from Indian River Inlet. Several surf fishermen have bought bait but so far none have returned with a good report. As you can imagine, the surf is pretty rough.

After the storm passes it will leave some damaged beach to contend with. Don鈥檛 be surprised if the surf over washes Route 1 north of the Inlet Bridge.
