Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 10/21/25
Monday saw a very strong west wind and it brought chilly air as well as small craft advisories. The rest of the week the wind remains out of the west and the seas settle down to 3 to 4 feet.
The only reporting station with a report was Old Inlet and they said the tog action at Indian River Inlet remains good and getting better. The number of keepers keeps improving every day with sand fleas and green crab still the top baits.
With small craft advisories up no boats would have sailed from Indian River Inlet or Lewes and with a hard west wind the water would be too shallow for fishing on the Cape Henlopen pier.
As I look back on my notes, Saturday was the only good fishing day we have had over the past two weeks. Hard to be in the charter boat or tackle shop business in times like these.
