The temperature dropped and the wind came up which didn’t help the fishing on Monday.

Joe Moore down on Hatteras Island reported that Michael Ellingsworth from Laurel, Delaware caught and released a 48-inch red drum while surf fishing on Portsmouth Island.

Lewes Ice House reported small black drum from Broadkill Beach on sand fleas and clams. White perch out of the Broadkill River on bloodworms. Catfish have been caught at the end of Oyster Rock Road on bunker or stink baits. Indian River Inlet has given up a few keeper tog on sand fleas or green crabs, striped bass on white bucktails or lead heads with twister tails and a few flounder on live minnows.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle weighed in a 12.25-pound black drum for Jim Steele that he caught at Fenwick Island on a sand flea.

The Katydid had a catch of tog from ocean structure.
