Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 4-22-23
We had a very warm spring day on Friday and while fish were caught it is still a lot slower than it should be considering how good it is to our north and south.
Lewes Harbour Marina reported that the Katydid and the Sea Jay II both fished for tog over ocean structure and both caught fish.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported that shad were caught from Indian River Inlet on shad darts and small spoons during incoming water. Small rockfish were taken on bucktails and leadheads with plastic tails.
Lewes Ice House Tackle reported that a few blues were caught at the Inlet on bucktails and a few black drum were taken from Broadkill Beach on clams and sand fleas.
Rick’s Bait and Tackle checked in a big Delaware Citation tog weighing 13.5 pounds caught by Bill Marshal at Site 10.
