Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 4-23-23

The weather was warm on Saturday, but the unrelenting wind made fishing difficult for both fresh and saltwater anglers. The passing front on Saturday night will bring a change in the weather system and while it will blow again on Sunday the early week, when most folks have to go back to work, looks like better weather.

Lewes Harbour Marina said only one boat ran on Saturday and they had a poor catch of tog.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle the report didn鈥檛 change. Tog on sand fleas and green crabs out of the Indian River Inlet rocks. A few small rockfish from the inlet on white bucktails or on leadheads with a plastic twister tail. Keith Harpster fished the South Pocket at Indian River Inlet with plastics to catch a few small rockfish.

Burt at Hook 鈥榚m and Cook ,em said a couple of his employees fished Indian River Bay and caught quite a few rockfish to 20 inches on bucktails.
