Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 5-6-23
Friday saw some better weather and better fishing.
Lewes Harbour Marina reported the Katydid went out to Ocean structure and came back with some tog for her party. The Sea Jay II also fished over ocean structure and had a catch of tog.
At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em Deanna told us the Captain Ike fished over ocean structure for a few tog. The C Monster ran to the deep and brought back a catch of tilefish.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported that tog were caught out of Indian River Inlet on sand fleas and green crabs. Hickory shad were taken during incoming water on small silver spoons or shad darts. They finally had a good report from the surf as 14 to 16-inch bluefish were caught on cut bunker and a few rockfish to 20 inches were caught and released on sand fleas and cut bunker. Henry Busby caught and released a 20-inch class rockfish from the beach south of the inlet.
