Virginia Man Sentenced in Worcester County on Sex Charges

A McLean, Virginia man has been sentenced to serve 25 years in prison for convictions on charges of sexual abuse of a minor and third degree sex offense. Worcester County Circuit Court Judge Beau Oglesby suspended all but 10 years of the sentence and placed 32 year old Alexander Wu on 5 years of supervised probation with conditions that he register as a lifetime sex offender and have no unsupervised contact with children.

The charges against Wu were initially reported in Montgomery County, but investigation revealed that the abuse also occurred in Ocean City where a victim said Wu, her cheerleading coach, sexually abused her when she was 14.
