Rescue Firefighters were called to Silver Goose Road in Cambridge just after 10 Friday morning for a structure fire. Rescue Fire crews found a two-story wood frame and masonry home with fire. Maryland State Fire Marshal investigators say the fire began on a rear porch and was accidental. Combustibles placed too close to a heater. Officials say there was a smoke alarm present, but it did not activate – and two occupants were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Damage is estimated at $150,000.
