UPDATED: Lewes Townhome Fire Under Investigation


UPDATED – 9/27/21 – Lewes firefighters were called to a residential fire at the Villages of Five Points Sunday morning just before 8:30. Crews arriving at the scene found smoke and flames coming from the structure and additional companies were called to assist. The one occupant of the home was able to escape without injury. State Fire Marshal investigators are continuing to investigate the cause and origin of the blaze. Damage is estimated at $50,000.


A townhouse fire at the Villages of Five Points remains under investigation.

Firefighters from Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Milton and Indian River responded to Chatham Street Sunday morning. Flames were poking from a top-floor middle unit.

There is no official word on the extent of damage or if there were any injuries.
