Salisbury’s Growth Could Mean New Fire Station on North Side

Salisbury city leaders are considering establishing a new fire station on the north side of the city

As the city continues to see rapid growth in population, Salisbury City Fire Chief John Tull says the department has been getting numerous calls from the northern portion of Salisbury. Tull says the Department’s goal is to arrive at a reported location within 4 minutes, which can be a challenge to the north. He says adding a station there is needed, but stresses the proposal is in it’s earliest stages.

The completion of a fire station in Northern Salisbury could still be several years away.
