Seaford Police Warn of Spike in Vehicle Thefts

Seaford Police are urging residents to call 911 if they see any suspicious activity.  Thanks to internet trends, Seaford Police have seen a recent spike in vehicle thefts. Police say Kia and Hyundai vehicles are targeted most – owners should check with local dealerships about manufacturer updates and wheel lock programs.

• Remember to always lock your doors, remove keys and other valuables from inside the vehicle.
• Park in well lit areas and consider lighting your driveway or front yard.
• Install aftermarket anti-theft devices – like alarms, steering wheel locks or brake pedal locks.
• Watch for people looking in vehicle windows or pulling on doors.
