Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/01/26

Sunday there were small craft advisories up and with the forecast for seas running 4 to 5 feet and northeast winds for the rest of the week, I don’t see much hope of them coming down.

We did have some good news from Rick’s Bait and Tackle on Longneck. They were so busy they hardy had time to give me a report. It seems the flounder bite turned on in Indian River Bay with live minnows the top bait. Unfortunately, beginning today, June 1st, the minimum size limit jumps 1-1/2 inches from 16 to 17-1/2.

Lewes Harbour Marina told us while no boats fished the ocean, some did work the Canal for a few keeper flounder on minnows.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said croaker and spot were caught on bloodworms.
