WGMD Fishing Report 5-16-21
Sunday saw more good weather and believe it or not, but we are supposed to have winds of five to ten knots all week.
Without going into a lot of detail, every one I spoke with on Sunday said they had a boat limit of black sea bass on Saturday. I was not surprised.
Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Orry Sheets had three keeper flounder and a 17-inch trout out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on Saturday. The Top Fin had an 8-pound cod to go along wit their sea bass limit on Saturday. Brian Seglum had a 6.19-pound tog and Evan Falgowski had a 3.17-pound sea bass off an ocean wreck also on Saturday. In what must be considered an unusual catch, Brian also brought in a 4.63-pound ocean pout. A very good eating fish.
Deanna at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said Roger Radian caught a 16.9-pound rockfish out of Indian River Inlet on a Z-Man.
