UPDATED: DSP Make Additional Arrests in Seaford Homicide

UPDATED – 04/15/25 – Two suspects have been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting on March 12th at Nutter Park in Seaford which left 23 year old Schweitzer Dessin with critical gunshot wounds – he later died at a nearby hospital from his injuries. Three other victims were injured in the incident. Delaware State Police have arrested 22 year old Jamal Riddick of Blades after executing a search warrant Tuesday at a residence on South Market Street in Blades. At the residence police found an AR style rifle and ammunition in a room occupied by 20 year old Dimere Riddick, who was also arrested.

Jamal Riddick was arrested and taken to Troop 5, where he was charged with the crimes listed below:
- Murder 1st Degree (Felony)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony) – 17 counts
- Reckless Endangering 1st Degree (Felony) – 17 counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon – Firearm (Felony)
Jamal Riddick was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $1,340,000 cash bond.

Dimere Riddick was arrested and taken to Troop 5, where he was charged with the crimes listed below:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (Felony)
- Possession of Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (Felony) – 2 counts
- Possession of a High-Capacity Magazine During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
Dimere Riddick was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on an $80,000 secured bond.

UPDATED – 03/25/25 – An arrest of a suspect in a murder in Seaford earlier this month. Delaware State Police arrested 23 year old Johnathan Dugazon of Seaford on Monday in the death of 23 year old Schweitzer Dessin at Nutter Park on the afternoon of March 12th. Police found Dessin in the park with gunshot wounds and began life saving efforts. Dessin was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. Two others suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds during the incident and a third man was also injured with non-life threatening injuries related to the shooting.

Dugazon was taken to Troop 5, where he was charged with the crimes:
- Murder 1st Degree (Felony)
- Attempted Murder 1st Degree (Felony)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
- Possession of a Firearm/Destructive Weapon If Previously Convicted of a Violent Felony (Felony) – 5 counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon (Felony)
- Reckless Endangering 1st Degree (Felony) – 3 counts
- Noncompliance With Conditions of Recognizance Bond or Conditions (Felony) – 2 counts
Dugazon was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $2,156,000 cash bond.

UPDATED – 03/14/25 – The investigation into a homicide in Nutter Park in Seaford Wednesday continues, but Delaware State Police have identified the victim as 23 year old Schweitzer Dessin of Seaford. Dessin died at a nearby hospital from his injuries.
Police say two other men – aged 19 and 21 – self-transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds and a 23 year old man also self-transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries related to the shooting.
Police say there was a large fight at Nutter Park when unidentified suspects fired multiple rounds at the victims.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting just before 4:30 and found a 23-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, he later died at a nearby hospital. Three other men, ages 19, 21, and 23, were injured and sought medical treatment. Their injuries are non-life threatening. Investigators determined the shooting happened during a large fight. According to police, unidentified individuals fired multiple shots at the victims.
