House Fire in Salisbury Caused by Electrical Failure

A fire at a house on East Church Street in Salisbury late last night was caused by an electrical failure in the area of the bathroom ceiling, according to the City of Salisbury Fire Department–Office of the City Fire Marshal. No deaths or injuries resulted from the blaze. Total damage was estimated at $10,000. The City Fire Marshal worked alongside Delmar, Parsonsburg, and Fruitland to quickly extinguish the fire.聽 In regard to the smoke alarm status, fire officials say despite the requirement, it was missing. The Fire Marshal reminds you to test your smoke detectors regularly, replace batteries yearly, and also replace the entire unit every 10 years.
