Delaware State Police Investigating Home Invasion in Seaford
Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred on Tuesday in Seaford. On Wednesday, December 17th at about 1:30 p.m., troopers responded to a residence on Rocky Road for a welfare check. A concerned relative, who had been unable to contact the homeowner, made the request. When troopers arrived, they talked to a 74-year-old man who lives there. He reported that he had been robbed the previous evening. The preliminary investigation revealed that the robber had previously been at the residence earlier in the day. At approximately 6:00 p.m., the same person returned to the home accompanied by three additional male individuals. The four forced their way into the residence, and one of them displayed a firearm. Once inside, they demanded money and other personal items. During the incident, one of the individuals struck the victim on the top of the head. The suspects then fled the residence on foot. The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspects are described as four black males. Three of them were wearing masks. No additional description of the male suspects is available at this time.
