Sussex Technical High School Receives Innovation Grant to Support Plant Science and Natural Resource Management

Sussex Technical High School has received an Innovation Grant from the Delaware Department of Education to support the integration of Geographic Information Systems, or GIS, into its Plant Science and Natural Resource Management program. School officials say the technology will be embedded into coursework, giving students hands-on experience with data mapping, land-use planning, and environmental resource management. GIS is widely used in agriscience and natural resource fields, and the school says the training will help prepare students for future education and careers.
