Delaware State Police Investigating Armed Robbery at Dover Smoke Shop
Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday night at a smoke shop in Dover. Police say that on January 27th at about 10:00 PM, troopers were dispatched to the New York Smoke Shop on North Dupont Highway. They learned that two males armed with hatchets, entered the business and demanded the clerk open the cash register. They stole cash and various tobacco products before running away. The two individuals were described as wearing dark-colored clothing, face coverings, and gloves.聽 The Delaware State Police Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives ask anyone with information relevant to the investigation to contact Detective D. Adams at (302) 698-8442.
