UPDATED: Filing Deadline for School Board Elections in Delaware has Passed

UPDATED – 03/06/26 – 9pm – The filing deadline to run for School Board in Delaware has passed. There are school board elections in the Cape Henlopen, Laurel, Delmar, Woodbridge, Seaford and Milford School Districts, however there are only 2 contested elections – in Delmar and Milford. Four candidates have filed to 2 At-Large seats on the Delmar School Board – Neil Baker, Carl Kurten, Jr., Shawn Brittingham and Jordan Johnson.  And two candidates filed for the District C seat in Milford – incumbent Cindy McKenzie is challenged by Nik Dutta-Roy.  Delaware School Board elections will take place on Tuesday, May 12.

ORIGINAL STORY – 03/06/26 – Today is the last day for candidates to file for School Board elections in Delaware. There are school board elections in the Cape Henlopen, Laurel, Delmar, Woodbridge, Seaford and Milford School Districts. The deadline to file at the Sussex County Department of Elections on Race Street in Georgetown or for the Milford Election – at the Kent County Department of Elections in Dover is 4:30pm. School Board elections take place on Tuesday, May 12.
