Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/08/26

The summer days just get better and better.

Dan at Dan’s Tackle said blues, croaker and trout were caught from Broadkill Beach on Sunday. The blues went for cut mullet while the croaker and trout liked bloodworms or Fishbites.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park saw a 40-inch striped bass caught on a bluefish rig baited with mullet. A 5-foot tiger shark was caught on another bluefish rig, also baited with mullet. A few blues were caught on bluefish rigs. Spot and croaker were taken on bloodworms while a few keeper flounder were caught on minnows.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us the Captain Ike had a 518-pound thresher shark on Friday. On Sunday, a private boat brought in tilefish and two bluefin tuna.
