Gum Point Road Boat Ramp Near Ocean Pines to be Closed Wednesday, June 17 for County Project
Worcester County Public Works, in coordination with Recreation & Parks, will close the Gum Point Road boat ramp on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, to facilitate the loading and unloading of a barge and soil boring equipment into Turville Creek for a County project. The closure is expected to last one day.
If weather conditions prevent the work from being completed on June 17, the boat ramp will instead be closed on Thursday, June 18, the designated rain date.
Boaters are encouraged to utilize alternative County boat ramp locations during the closure. A list of County boat ramp locations is available atĀ https://worcesterrecandparks.org/boat-ramps.
