Chesapeake Utilities Currently Working to Repair Lines in Snow Hill

Chesapeake Utilities is currently working to repair gas lines exposed to water infiltration on the Western Side of Snow Hill. Town Officials say temporary lane closures are expected, with an emphasis on Church Street, in the affected areas. The company will perform vapor mitigation, including burning off excess gas from the lines to complete repairs. Officials assure the public that these tasks are safe and necessary, and there is no risk of danger during repair work, which they hope to complete by Friday. Residents may see Chesapeake Utilities or Sharp Energy employees on their property delivering temporary propane tanks to maintain service.
