Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 07/16/26

Wednesday the heat affected the fishermen and so to the fishing. It hit over 100 degrees at my house and I am sure if you were out and about on Wednesday afternoon you suffered the effects of the heat.

Dan at Dan’s Tackle said most of his customer were off Broadkill Beach before noon with their catch of croaker and spot on Fishbites.

Lewes Harbour Marine reported the only boat to leave the dock was the head boat Angler and they returned from Delaware Bay with croaker.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said the only fish they heard of from their customers were spot and croaker.

Old Inlet had some good news as striped bass were caught around 5:00 a.m. from the South Jetty on top water and soft plastic swim baits.
