Governor John Carney has signed the Beau Biden Gun Violence Prevention Act into law. He was surrounded by the Biden family, legislators and gun Safety advocates at the Biden Institute at the University of Delaware. The new law will limit access to firearms for those considered a danger to themselves or others. The measure was passed unanimously by the General Assembly – and it mirrors legislation that was championed by Delaware’s for Attorney General in 2013. The bill will take effect in six months.
