An accidental cooking fire has seriously damaged a home on Prince Street in Salisbury.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the blaze started in the kitchen of the home Sunday afternoon. The fire spread, and although it was out in ten minutes it resulted in the deaths of two family dogs.

Firefighters rescued a third dog which was taken to a local animal hospital.

Fire damage has been estimated at $55,000.
