Delaware State Police Arrest Milford Man for a Stolen Motorcycle Following Crash
Delaware State Police have arrested a 20-year-old Milford man for multiple offenses following a motorcycle crash on Monday afternoon in Milton. Troopers responded to the scene at about 3:17 p.m. that day on Issacs Road north of Milton-Ellendale Highway. According to the investigation by police, Shymier Olden failed to negotiate a curve and exited the east side of the roadway. Troopers learned that before the crash, Olden was driving aggressively, passing on the shoulder, and speeding. A computer check revealed that the motorcycle (Suzuki GSX-600L) was unregistered, uninsured, and reported stolen in 2023. Olden was taken to an area hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. After being released from the hospital, he was arrested and taken to Troop 7, where he was charged with several offenses including Receiving Stolen Property Value Over $1,500, which is a felony. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on his own recognizance.
