Dover Man Charged in Burglary at Auto Dealer

A Dover man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at Auto For You early in the morning on Wednesday, September 10. Police learned that between 1 and 1:30am a suspect broke a window and stole the keys to two vehicles – and drove off in a 2013 black BMW. Police located the BMW on Thursday morning on South Bay Road, but the driver refused to stop and fled into a neighborhood and stopping in a dead-end on Nixon Lane where he was arrested. The driver, identified as 24 year old Rashad Grace-Scott of Dover is charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary 3rd Degree
- Possession of Burglar’s Tools
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle
- Attempted Theft of a Motor Vehicle
- Failure to Obey a Police Officers Signal
- Theft Under $1,500
- Receiving Stolen Property Under $1,500
- Criminal Mischief Over $1,000
- Unsafe Speed
Grace-Scott, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Dover Police Department to be processed and arraigned and released on $15,500 unsecured bail.
