Early Morning Bomb Threats in Capital School District; All Clear Given

Law enforcement has given the all-clear at Dover High School and Kent County Secondary ILC following an investigation into multiple bomb threats early this morning that disrupted school transportation and operations in the Capital School District. Earlier today, the district implemented a two-hour delay for students in grades 1 through 8 after the threats prompted a law enforcement response and caused significant delays in bus transportation. The schedule adjustment was made out of an abundance of caution. Staff reported on time, and authorities determined there was no direct threat to district buildings. The Dover Police Department, along with additional law enforcement partners and the City of Dover, responded quickly and worked closely with district officials. All students and staff are safe, and school operations have resumed.
