Fire tore through Snookie’s Speed Parts in Milton, causing severe damage

A heater was the cause of a fire that tore through Snookie’s Speed Parts in Milton.

According to the State Fire Marshal’s Office, the blaze broke out around 2 p.m., Tuesday at Snookie’s Speed Parts on Coastal Highway.

The Milton Fire Department along with nearby mutual aid fire companies arrived and fought the fire.

State fire investigators responded to the scene and discovered that the fire originated inside the building near a heater.

Items placed too close to the heater ignited, sparking the blaze. There were no reported injuries.

Heavy fire damage was estimated at $150,000.
