Five-Vehicle Chain-Reaction Crash in Georgetown Area Due to Inattentive Driving


Delaware State Police investigated what was a five-vehicle chain-reaction crash that shut down Dupont Boulevard north of Shortly Road late yesterday morning. State Police tell the Talk of Delmarva that a Nissan Quest rear-ended a Honda Civic stopped at a red light, pushing it into a tractor-trailer. The Nissan then struck a Ford van, which hit a Ford Maverick. The Nissan鈥檚 74-year-old driver from York, PA, and the Honda鈥檚 39-year-old driver from Middle River, MD, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The other drivers were not injured. The Nissan driver was cited for inattentive driving.
