The National Weather Service Flash Flood Watch warning is no longer in effect for the following WGMD locations:
FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH 6 THIS AFTERNOON…
The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for Dorchester, Inland Worcester, Maryland Beaches, Somerset, and Wicomico.
* Showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue today. Rainfall will average up to 1 inch, with locally higher amounts possible in the heaviest of storms.
* Rapid rises of creeks and streams as well as flash flooding of roadways and urban areas is possible due to any torrential downpours. Be prepared for the potential for flash flooding.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
