Heroin, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia were seized in a series of arrests in Harrington.
According to the Harrington Police Department, both incidents occurred Monday afternoon, with the first following a traffic stop on East Street shortly before 2:30 p.m. when officers stopped a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Dewayne Mumford, of Harrington.
Mumford was driving on a suspended license, according to police, who searched the vehicle and found a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine. He was arrested and charged with Possess or Consume a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance, Driving with a Suspended or Revoked License, and Failure to Answer a Summons. He was released on $1,600 unsecured bond.
The second incident occurred just before 4 p.m. when officers observed 33-year-old Laura Greenley, of Harrington, walking on Fleming Street.
The officer, familiar with Greenley, knew she was wanted, police said. She was taken into custody, searched, and found to be in possession of 10 baggies of Heroin and drug paraphernalia. She was arraigned and released on her own recognizance.
