Last few days to enjoy The Point before beachnesting season begins

Its the last couple days for you to enjoy the Point at Cape Henlopen. DNREC announcing the annual closure of the stretch of the shoreline for beachnesting season begins this Thursday, March 1. The portion of the beach will remain closed until Fall to allow for endangered migratory shorebirds to nest in peace. Officials say the Oceanside portion of the Point will re-open September 1, and the bayside October 1.
