Man Sent To Prison For Assault At Homeless Encampment

A man is going to prison for 12 years for his guilty plea to assault charges.

The Wicomico County State’s Attorney’s Office says 30-year-old Christopher Wolcott of Salisbury attacked a person in a homeless encampment in Salisbury  following a fight last November.

Prosecutors say Wolcott slashed the victim in the face several times with a utility knife. The victim required hospitalization.
