MD 90 (Ocean City Expressway) to be Closed Overnight on March 17th and 18th for Tree Trimming and Cleanup Following Recent Storm

A section of Route 90 between Whaleyville and Ocean City will be closed overnight on Tuesday, March 17th, and Wednesday, March 18th, for tree trimming maintenance. The tree trimming and cleanup, which will take place between Route 50 and MD 528/Coastal Highway in Ocean City, are necessary due to damage caused by last month’s storm. During maintenance operations, traffic will be detoured to Route 50. Crews are expected to complete the work by Thursday morning, March 19th, weather permitting. The work will take place between 6pm and 5am.
If you plan to drive in that area during that time, you’ll see message boards, arrow boards, and cones to safely guide you through the detour. Drivers should add approximately 30 minutes to their commute during the maintenance operations.
